If I was a famous author I would publish a book with ten different endings which all went to print with varying degrees of rarity, but not tell the fans about it so that I could watch their confusion as they disagree over how the story…
It’s the Social Justice League podcast: Midnight Edition! This time we discuss conventions, gatherings and our love/hate relationships with them. Allora shares photos of cats with an unexpected crowd, Mac gets a toothache from sweetness overload, Robin takes off her top and Jen is complimented by a star.

I love the little bits we have at the end. Like it’s just messing around or really small insignificant things but they’re my favourite part.
There is supposed to be 13 doctors by the end, and with John Hurt just being thrown in there (thanks Moffat) this makes Matt the 12th regeneration, even if he is still the 11th Doctor.
Not necessarily. If you remember that episode where River gave the Doctor all her remaining regenerations they could pull that back up and say she gave an extra life. Plus, there’s the other theory that since the timelords got their regenerations from travelling through time and he’s done it far much more than anyone else that he could renewed a regeneration or something. Plus, if you consider the movie to be a proper reference (which I don’t really) the Master spent his 13 regenerations, properly died, the timelords brought him back and he was able to regenerate again.
I watched the ep like 6 hours ago and now that I have my thoughts more cleared I think I can write this
Also, <DOCTOR WHO SPOILER> <SPOILER> The Silence or someone from their order had better come back because there was that massive lead up and they weren’t even in the episode. There was that whole hype of the doctor saying his name and surely it can end with “oh, he’s already said it off screen to River in an adventure we just didn’t see”. Though I’m really interested to see what it’ll be like with an older doctor again. </SPOILER> </DOCTOR WHO SPOILER>
what? what? what do you mean I have to wait that long?
The science in this show is insane.
Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! No more River Song?
I swear the writers like messing with my brain.
There’s this assumption that we have to have goals in life and sometimes people flat out say it too. This is bullshit. Goals may be a very good systematic way of measuring if you’ve done stuff with your life, but they have so much negativity.
- They put pressure on you and sometimes that’s good but most of the time it just re-enforces a sense of not being good enough.
- Your first and maybe most common use of the word goal is in competitive ways (sport goals, business goals) so it promotes gloating over people who aren’t achieving their goals and jealousy against people who are.
- There’s this obligation that you have to do as much as you possibly can with your life. If you say your goal is to be a florist but your IQ is 150 people say you’re setting “low goals” or “not aiming high”.
- It priorities actions that you do over your happiness.
If you feel like you want to do more with your life don’t set goals, instead just find what you like and do that. And sometimes you don’t know what you like so keep trying new stuff. Even if you don’t have a strong passion that’s okay. Not many people do.
